Here are a few websites that I use with my students. I will add more as the blog continues to develop. If you know of a wonderful website for students with special needs, please let me know! I would love to add it here and explore it for my class!
Do 2 Learn
Do 2 Learn is a great website that I use frequently with the students in my classroom. The website has activities for several domains including: academics, communication, vocational, life skills, social skills, and behavioral regulation. Whenever possible, I like to project the website on the Smart Board and let the students be in control!
SEN Switcher
SEN Switcher activities are switch enabled activities on the computer. The activities range from cause and effect, switch building, timed activation, targeting, and scanning. I use this website for my students with severe and profound learning difficulties. You can access this website online or download it to your computer. Users can control the colors, type, and order that the activities are presented in.
Priory Woods Resources
I'll admit I haven't explored beyond the "resources" section of this website. Like SEN Switcher, I use this website for students with more severe disabilities. Once on the "resources" page, I select "Cause & Effect/Targeting Activities." There are several switch activated videos for students to enjoy. You can either download them onto your computer or watch them online. I would recommend downloading them, as you are able to have full screen access. My students definitely have some favorites. My teaching assistants on the other hand, would like me to lose the links to these videos. They can get very catchy!
